Cassius Clay Amateur worn trunks (TR12)

These are trunks that Cassius Clay wore as an amateur and has signed them "from Cassius Clay 19-59" in still a very strong pen signature. The trunks are white cloth with blue trim Inside the trunks is marked "SUTCLIFFE'S" LOUISVILLE,KY. There is a tag marked size large and a tag with washing instructions.The trunks were part of the collection of the Columbia Street Gym while Clays first trainer Joe Martin ran the gym.The trunks come with a notarized letter of authenticity from Jole Martin, the grandaughter of Joe Martin. There is also a Notary stamp on the letter of authenticity. Extremely rare signed trunks from the early years of Cassius Clay's career.
